Pro's Tip

Improvements to this hole at the front of the green allow a few more balls to stay on the putting surface. Usually a middle iron is enough, with a 7 wood coming in handy for Seniors and Ladies. Distance and loft is always a difficult combination, and that is exactly the requirement to remain on the green.

The bail-out area is short right, where it is still possible to earn a ‘chip and putt’ par. The danger area is, as is often at Blankney, to the left. The green slopes from left to right and has a tier halfway. But be warned in dry conditions anything landing on the right side of the green will be thrown towards the bunker.
