This mid-length par 4 has improved over the years with the addition of well placed fairway bunkers, well established juvenile trees left and right, new revetted green-side Bunkers, as well as more length than of old. Some of the old holes at Blankney were very “Open” from the tee, but this is now an example of the punishment which awaits for missing the fairway.
Tee up on the right side of the tee box and aim at the left-hand bunkers by the green when the wind is blowing left to right, as usually the case. An easterly wind makes the hole play slightly more easy, working the tee-shot away from the fairway bunkers. The green has a small tier at the front, but is relatively flat.
